I don’t trust any antispyware but SpyBot, but that’s because I’ve used it for over 3 years to keep this kind of stuff out of my computer. Here’s a list of the current spyware SpyBot will find for you, IF you have the latest updates as of 4-25-07:

Open SpyBot and download all the latest updates, then immunize the computer again, and then run another full bot check. Remove everything it finds using the Fix Selected Problems. If you have a big hard drive this may take 20-30 minutes, but it’s well worth it.

it’s probably in your documents and settings folder somewhere and when you delete it, the main file replicates the deleted file and therefore you’re hit again. I would research what SMITFRAUD.C is and the name of the host file and then you can find it… some programs are renamed to look like system files…

Almost all “general purpose”, all-in one” spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG, Norton, or Spybot S & D cannot remove the Smitfraud infection.

hi. If spybot indicates the name of the file and where it is download “killbox” and run it.Write the name of the file e.g “c:windowssystem32name of file and delete it.You can find “killbox”in “download.com”
