How Can I Get Rid Of The Spyware Coolwwwsearch And Smitfraud-c?

I already tried Spybot S&D, Ad-Adware SE Personal, SpywareGuard, and smitRem. None worked :( It has been bothering me for days with the fake windows and alerts, it changed my home page, and the internet opens by itself in Ads or other fake antispyware.

    Pablo, when you ran SmitRem, did you do so in Safe Mode? That’s the only way that it will work. To get rid of anything to do with CoolWebSearch, try downloading CWShredder. It does a reasonable job, but it’s not perfect.

    I had a similar problem with a PC that I was repairing and nothing I used worked and I found only free scans not fully working help. Go to the link below and download both the spyware and the virus software. It is fully functional and free. and if you want you can pay to get the full featured one . But the free ones update hourly and are easy to use and have a lot of features.

    The SmitRem removal tool is obsolete and has not been recommended in ages.
    The “standard” removal tool for Smitfraud in now SmitFraudFix. It is updated every few days to deal with the newer variants of SmitFraud which are produced almost daily.

    CoolWWWSearch was not removed with spybot? that is really interesting ! did you update spybot http://www.spybot.info/en/howto/update.h… ? (latest updates
    were on 14th march 2007). And did you run it in safe mode?

    If you do not have firefox get it now and use it instead of internet explorer so you dont get any more spyware http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.c…
    Also run Secunia Software Inspector from the link above(top of the page).Securina will tell you which of your software is outdated and have holes in them through which the spyware are entering.

    Try Advanced Windows Care2, it works for me! And I love how fast my PC is after every use! Oh yeah and it’s free, the free where u don’t pay nething!

    You can download a free antispyware/ version and remove them. Check out http://sumiram2006.googlepages.com/comba…
    It has good downloads to detect and eliminate spyware
