this is wat the guy posted on my other question to remove virusprotectpro.
it worked but then a popup came up from mcafee that said it was a potencially unwanted program so i deleted it.
but i removed virusprotectpro with it so i think its a good program.

I am glad that my other post to your question helped to remove your Virusprotectpro / Smitfraud infection.
The SmitfraudFix removal tool program is completely harmless. It has been used by many thousands. Here is the reason that your McAfee flagged it as a PUP (from S!ri, the author himself):

bleepingcomputer.com is a trustworthy source. McAfee (and other anti-virus software) use what’s called “heuristic” detection. It will examine the behavior of an executible file that it doesn’t recognize to determine whether it’s malicious or not.That can lead to false postives sometimes. McAfee just detected the cleaner was deleting files or whatever and considered it as possible malware.
Note: I don’t know if you did or not but you really need to disable system restore before cleaning viruses. They can get re-introduced through the restore files. You probably should do thorough scans to make sure you got everything.

After updating switch to advanced mode, to do so select “mode” from the toolbar and check “Advanced Mode”, it will ask if you want to switch modes, say “yes”. Now you have multiple tabs on the left of the screen, select the “tools” tab and click on the “IE Tweaks” icon. Make sure that you check “Lock Hosts file read-only as protection against hijackers”. After its updated select the “Immunize” icon, click on the green + to immunize your system. This will help prevent any new spyware/malware infestation by blocking new items. THIS MUST BE REDONE AFTER EVERY UPDATE SO THAT YOU ARE PROTECTED AGAINST THE LATEST THREATS.
